About Zenkai Goose
Hey, I’m Zenkai Goose—a Canadian-born Senior Software Developer turned full-time YouTube creator. Since starting my channel in January 2021, my videos have reached over 26 million people, with millions more across all platforms. My most popular series, I Played Every, dives deep into game franchises and studios, exploring their evolution and the people behind them.
But it wasn’t always this way. Growing up in a small rural Canadian town, I was passionate about video games but never thought I was smart enough to make them. I worked in construction right out of high school, operating everything from backhoes to pavers. I saved up every penny to pursue my dream of becoming a software developer. Despite doubts that a small-town kid like me could ever break into the tech industry, I pushed through and graduated at the top of my class. After a decade in the industry, I became a Senior Software Developer at a big video game tech company.
Yet, something was still missing. I wanted to share what video games had given me—lifelong friendships, memories, and even emotional support. So, I launched Zenkai Goose, a YouTube channel dedicated to creating the best video game content.
Through my videos, I aim to show the world how games are the perfect blend of art, storytelling, and technology—offering more than just entertainment, but a way to connect and change lives.
